Chelsea have signed Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen for fee of £75.8m
The German has finally secured a record breaking move to Stamford Bridge from Bayer Leverkusen.

A move which had been making round ever since the talks started.

Harvertz signed for Chelsea on five years deal, which will see him stay in London untill 2025, and earn around £150,000 every week.

The 21-year-old midfielder completed his medical with Chelsea on Sunday in London before joining up with Germany for their Nations League fixtures.

Havertz scored and assisted for Leverkusen a 36 goal and a 25 assist in just 118 Bundesliga appearances. He’s considered Bayer Leverkusen best player in last two years.

On his move to Chelsea, Kai Havertz becomes German and Chelsea most expensive player of all time, with a fee valued around £75M (€85M) plus add ons.

Chelsea has been the most active club in the transfer market. After facing a one year transfer ban, Havertz becomes Frank Lampard’s seventh summer addition, joining Germany team-mate Timo Werner., Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr and Xavier Mbuyamba.

Both player and fans are very happy for this transfer. The 21 years old stated that; “I am very happy and proud to be here, For me it is a dream come true to play in a big club like Chelsea and I can’t wait to meet all the players and the trainers. Yeah, I am very happy to be here!”

As part of the deal, Chelsea have offered Leverkusen the chance to sign one of their summer arrivals, Sarr, on loan for the season., Which made Leverkusen to bring down their initial asking price of €100M for the midfielder.

Werner has already taken the number 11 shirt and Ziyech has taken Pulisic’s 22 when they played friendly against Brighton and Hove Albion. Pulisic will now take the number 10.

Havertz will definitely take the number 29 shirt won by Tomori, a number Kai has won for so long now in Bayer. With Tomori set to go on loan, Harvertz will wear the number 29 shirt for Chelsea.
