Information available to us has it that International Football legend, Didier Drogba has reportedly been disqualified by the FIF Electoral Commission from contesting for President for the Ivory Coast Football Federation.
The former Chelsea star submitted his papers and CV along with Paul Koffi Kouadio, Diabate, and Yacine Idriss Diallo in order to contest for the Presidency but unfortunately was disqualified from contesting because he failed to meet its criteria.
Drogba’s disqualification was after the Electoral Commission revealed that two of the names he submitted as his sponsors did not have the mandate to be his sponsors.
The Commission also revealed that two officials who are from the same organization signed his electoral papers and that is not allowed.
It also revealed that Didier Drogba was supposed to present three top-flight Ivorian who will be backing his claim but he only presented two.
Paul Koffi Kouadio’s application was also rejected leaving Diabate and Yacine Idriss Diallo as the remaining candidates.
The commission says Drogba and Kouadio have five days to appeal.
